The house itself seemed simple but acceptable. The smell of damp made it impossible to keep clothes in the cupboards, the towels were old, and the toilet smelled so bad that it spread through the whole house. Cockroaches were all over the place, even on the kitchen marble while we were at the stove. We had a bad disagreement with the owner, who lives on the property, about a young dog that seemed dangerous to us. It was very nervous and didn’t come when called, and its barking frightened both the children and adults. There were two other dogs that didn’t bother us, but this one seemed aggressive. We politely asked for it to stay away, but were ignored and even felt mocked about the kids. We couldn’t enjoy a quiet barbecue because the dog kept coming over, the children panicked, and we had to hide the food. When we asked again for her to keep it at her house, she shouted at us, said the children bothered her, and told us she wanted us to leave. She said it was her home and that we should have asked in advance whether there were dogs. The holiday was ruined for two families. Not recommended. I hope they find a way to prevent an incident in future.
