Vogamari

The lobster with fries, garlic, green chili and potato was amazing, and we enjoyed the meal so much we stayed for nearly three hours. We’d called to book, but apparently didn’t have a table reserved, and getting one is especially difficult on weekends. After waiting almost 40 minutes, we were given a really good table. The owner was kind. Thank you.

We paid 68 euros for a meal that was a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t go back. The drinks were mostly ice and my glass was only half full. The croquettes were burnt, while the squid was mostly batter with barely any meat. Service was awful too. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived and we sat at an available table, but nobody came over for 20 minutes. We eventually grabbed a menu ourselves because we were hungry and frustrated. A couple who came in later got the table beside us, already nicely set, and could order straight away. When someone finally took our order, we were told the kitchen was closed. Another staff member then said we could still order. They cleared things very quickly, at least. Someone took my boyfriend’s plate while he was still eating, and the bill arrived within a minute. It felt like a rip-off.

There are lots of tables in both sun and shade, and it’s a nice spot for sunset. It’s close to the sea, the food was very good, and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Right by the beach and tucked among the dunes, it’s an ideal spot. The food options were good by island standards. Prices were high, especially for drinks and desserts, though that seems common with businesses around here.
