Can Reus

The village is lovely, and we enjoyed our stay overall, but it felt too expensive when we couldn't enjoy the facilities ourselves. The pool was only usable for us once, since it was given over to the children on the other days. There were several families staying, and having four babies screaming on the terrace really spoiled the atmosphere. It's a tiny hotel with a shabby-chic look, but it needs some care and maintenance. I'd come back if it were adults-only and the rooms had a bit of an upgrade.

My room, called Alfabia, had gorgeous mountain views. The hotel was friendly and quiet, decorated in the style of old Mallorcan houses, which I found really beautiful. Breakfast and service were nice too. A great place for a holiday.

The owners greeted us warmly when we arrived, and were very helpful throughout. They knew the area well and suggested walks that suited us; there were also several walking and hiking ideas on the information sheet in our room. The nearby hills and surroundings are lovely for a short stroll, a longer hike, or cycling. Restaurants and a supermarket are only a few minutes away on foot. We had a comfortable room with a fantastic view, and enjoyed breakfast in the morning sun on the terrace by the cosy garden and pool. The hotel itself was excellent, and the whole experience was exceptional. I'd definitely recommend it for a relaxing break or a more active holiday.

Our cycling group had the whole place to ourselves. It's cosy, elegant, and eclectic, with a lovely patio and garden out back, stunning views, and a spot right in the middle of the village.
