Finca Goleta

The breakfast was exceptional, with coffee, several kinds of bread, fruit, jam, French toast, and more, so much it barely fit on the table. The owner, who also handled reception, was welcoming, friendly, and very attentive. It’s a beautiful hotel in an old building, with original wooden stairs, ceilings made from full tree trunks, elegant bathrooms, and comfortable beds. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. We’ll definitely return!

Finca Goleta is a real gem by the river, with a lovely little park and garden. Beyond the main house are smaller traditional stone buildings, including an old-fashioned corn shed on stilts. The masonry and woodwork inside are impressive, and everything is beautifully kept and sparkling clean. What really stood out was the attention to detail: the bathroom had thoughtful extras, including a rail in the bathtub, and a better range of accessories than most Paradores. Our room was under the roof but still felt spacious. Everything worked, which we’ve found lacking even in high-end places. Service was impeccable, and the friendly staff insisted on carrying our luggage upstairs.

The location is fantastic and the hospitality unbeatable. I’d love to give it five stars, but the bed was very small and hard, and the shower was tiny.

The hosts really tried to make us comfortable, and we had a great stay. The riverside setting is beautiful.
