Lovely place to stay. Having a car makes it easier to get around.

The pool itself was nice, but the rest of our stay was a disaster. The house looks pretty from the outside and was rented to us for six people, but it feels suitable for two people over a weekend at most. Some closets have been turned into bedrooms, and the wardrobes have no shelves, so unpacking is impossible. There’s a table for four and only four chairs, one refrigerator for two people, and a tiny bathroom and toilet. The cupboards had dirty dishes, there was no air conditioning or internet, and the sliding windows only open halfway, making it impossible to cool the house. The owner also asks guests to switch off the water heater. Outside, there are old deck chairs and a yellowed plastic dining set for four. Some chairs are cracked and unsafe, and they don’t even fit under the table, so eating outside is awkward unless you have a picnic. The pool tiles are crumbling and cut your feet, and there’s an unsafe concrete staircase with no door or railing. The parasols were worn and propped up with wedges. The owner even forbade swimming under them while wearing sunscreen (LOL). I’d avoid this place for anything beyond a weekend for two.
The setting is wonderfully convenient: the house is less than a minute from the main road, so it’s easy to reach while still being peaceful. There’s also a bus stop, “Los Tablazos,” 100 meters away. Between Frigiliana and Nerja, it makes a good base for visiting the rest of the Axarquía, the walking routes along the Chillar and Higuerón rivers, the beaches at Maro by kayak, Nerja’s caves and atmosphere, Almuñécar, and more. The outdoor space and pool feel like paradise, with sunshine until it goes down, palm and fruit trees, loungers, parasols, a shower, and a barbecue. Inside, the house is charming, cozy, clean, and carefully maintained, with lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen is fully equipped with whatever accessories you might need, and the main bedroom’s pretty stone wall gives it both a rustic and modern feel. The photos match what you find in person.
I loved staying at this house. The sunshine and summer pool are wonderful, and even in winter the sun makes you want to jump in. It’s a great choice for a few peaceful days listening to nature while still being close to everything :D!!!
We stayed for 10 days in March, and this cozy, lovely house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. There’s a bus stop 100 meters away for getting to Frigiliana and Nerja. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back.
