I want to thank the host for being so understanding and forgiving. She didn't ask me to pay anything, even though it was my mistake and I was responsible for their loss. I'd booked a room but mistakenly thought I hadn't completed it on the Hostal Camino de Santiago website. I then took a taxi to get treatment for my feet on Camino de Santiago, and only realized when the host messaged to ask when we would arrive. This is a thoughtful hostel for people walking the Camino, and I hope to come back another day. Pilgrims, please confirm your arrival two days ahead if your schedule changes.

After sleeping there, both my friend and I had rashes on our arms and legs from what seemed to be bug bites. The shower was missing a glass panel, so water splashed out, and the towels were old and discolored. We had a very small triple room and basic service, with no tea or coffee. The Wi-Fi signal was so weak it didn't work in the room.

There isn't breakfast, but the welcome and service were warm and kind. Set in an old pilgrims' hospital in Fromista, Hostal Camino de Santiago has private rooms that are medium-sized, clean enough, and equipped adequately. Recommended.

A handy option after coming off the trail. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff really nice. There's no food at the property, but excellent restaurants are just two minutes away. It's also a five-minute walk to the center, where you can catch the bus to Burgos.

The location is ideal, right in the town center, and the place looks nice. But the room smelled like my 90-year-old incontinent grandmother's house, musty old wee and all. If only we'd had smellavision. When we asked for our deposit back, the lady got quite aggressive. We had to give her 20 euros to get our 50 euros back, even though we hadn't even brought our suitcases onto the property. No Wi-Fi or TV either. We found excellent accommodation with a restaurant for only 10 euros more per night. It had TV and bedroom Wi-Fi, a 6.95 breakfast buffet, and a choice of evening menu for 15.95, including a bottle of wine. Happy days, and lovely food.
