HOTEL RURAL San Pedro

Flies all over the room, sewage smell coming from the balcony, and terrible reception service. A dreadful experience, with no respect for pilgrims.

Julia, the attendant, was especially friendly and nice, and the whole four-night stay was great from start to finish. My room, 001+patio, was spacious enough, modern and clean, with a comfortable bed and pillow, hot water all morning, and lots of outlets for charging. This hostal in the town of Frómista is modern, clean, and comfortable. The extensive self-serve breakfast was 6€. Thank you, Julia!

Our attic room had no air conditioning, so I imagine it would feel very hot in more typical summer weather. It was clean and functional enough, as were the other rooms, and the hostal has the services pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago need. The reception staff were nice, though a little "arranged". We paid for breakfast, but in the morning were told it wouldn't be available because there hadn't been enough requests, apparently ours didn't count!

I was grateful for the elevator, especially as a peregrino with very tired feet. The service was top notch, and my cozy, comfortable attic room had whimsical decor, little pieces of candy on a camino shell, and a complimentary bottle of water. Breakfast was delicious, although the breakfast area was a bit small. The hostal is right in the center of town, opposite the main parish church and a bar restaurant, with the main sights within walking distance.
