The hotel was very busy, with a large, busy bar, but it seemed well run, with hundreds of peregrino's staying there. I spent one night at the San Martín hotel in Fromista while walking the Camino de Santiago in September 2025. My room was quite basic, though very clean, and the bathroom was nice too. Breakfast in the ground-floor salon was enjoyable, with a good selection to choose from. My Camino travel partners, @Magichillholidays located in Ireland, recommended this hotel, and that was a good choice on their part.

Right by the San Martin church in Fromista and about two blocks from the Camino de Santiago, Hotel San Martin has a great location. The peregrino dinner was excellent, while breakfast was basic.

The restaurant downstairs is nice, and the bath worked with hot water, though the shower was broken. Enjoy the sights, but bring earplugs because you can hear the neighbours through the thin walls.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the evening menu. Service was always friendly, with a smile for us. We'll come again next year!!🙂

Laura, at the front desk, makes guests feel really welcome, and the room was excellent for the price. The beds were clean and comfortable, the blackout curtains worked great, and the bathroom was clean and well renovated, with a sparkling clean tub. There’s a beautiful patio, and the location is very convenient, right in the center of town. Excellent value!
