Hotel Ida Inés

We’d love to come back next year. The family-run hotel is a pleasant place, and paying extra for a terrace room felt worthwhile, though you may have another flight of stairs to climb. Frontera, with its bars and places to eat, is a short ride away. The airport and seaport are about 35 minutes by car.

Ida and Isabel made my time on the island special with their local tips on where to go and what to do. Their warmth and real interest in making the trip go well made the hotel feel like a home away from home. Thank you for making both stays so lovely. I was mixing work with time off, and the quiet, clean room and very fast Wi-Fi made working easy. The room had everything I needed to focus. Breakfast is worth getting too, with fresh local produce and delicious natural juices.

The view from the balcony was fantastic, and the bed was super comfortable. I also liked the fresh fruit juice selection at breakfast, which changed daily. The Wi-Fi was among the worst I’ve had. There were no hooks in the room for hanging things, and the closet’s clothes-hook setup was one of the most ridiculous systems ever.

We stayed in room 6 for a few days. It had no sea view, but the little terrace looking onto a small garden was charming. They cleaned the room from our first day without any fuss. Breakfast was booked separately from our flight and hotel package, and at €7 it was simple but filling enough to get the day started. It’s a cozy, quiet little hotel and a comfortable base for exploring El Hierro. The service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. It isn’t luxurious, but it’s a nice choice if you want peace and comfort.
