The beef with mushroom sauce left us with severe food poisoning. I spent the whole night vomiting. What a disappointment. Afterwards I contacted the restaurant and was extremely let down by their response. There was no concern or empathy, and nobody even asked how we were doing or what we'd eaten. Instead, staff immediately denied responsibility and said it must have been flu or another virus. We had to see a GP because of dehydration, and the doctor said it was classic food poisoning. We spoke Spanish, so language wasn't an obstacle. Anyone can make a mistake, but the way this was handled showed no sense of responsibility or empathy. I don't recommend this restaurant. There's a very nice pizzeria in the village, so go there instead and stay safe.

The fish was cooked just right, and the lemon mousse made for a refreshing, tasty light dessert. Prices are fair and service was good, so I'd be glad to return. The meal tasted delicious, though the presentation could have been a little more careful and creative.

We won't be back. Though small, the place felt more like a bar, and the rooms were worn and didn't look very clean. There are two rooms, but everyone was put in the smaller one. Our fish soup arrived cold and looked more like chicken soup with tiny noodles. We could barely find any fish in it, and after we pointed out the temperature, they heated it in the microwave. I had to drink my beer from the bottle because they only had wine glasses. They also forgot the mojo rojo, so we had to ask for it, and charged us for bread we hadn't ordered. The waitress said charging for it is normal in The Canary Islands, but we'd eaten at other bars and restaurants without being given bread unless we asked. There were only a few guests, so the BAR wasn't busy enough to excuse getting things wrong.

After visiting the salinas, we had a lovely lunch at this old house with its charming garden. The staff were very nice and happy to answer questions about the traditional food. They brought bread with garlic butter, then we shared roasted peppers and muscles. Following their recommendation, we ordered grilled pork to share, and it was tender and tasty. We finished on the terrace with lemon mousse and coffee. You shouldn’t miss it.
