Hotel Marbella

We were only in town for the day, my girlfriend and I, and happened to walk past the hotel to ask about a room. It was fully booked, but the owner, Nacho, somehow managed to find us one. He was a real gentleman and the most helpful person we've met on this trip so far. He also told us Lionel Ritchie was playing in town, and you can guess what happened next 🙌. The hotel was very accommodating, and it's only about two minutes from the beach. Nacho, eres EL hombre! 🙌🙏

Everything was walkable from this perfectly central spot. Very friendly staff and great value for the money.

The rooms are plain but comfortable and acceptable for the price. There's no tea or coffee setup in the room, though you can get a kettle and coffee downstairs at reception. It's a mid-quality hotel, but the service is fantastic and the staff go above and beyond. You're right in the centre of the food district, with a great choice of places to eat within five minutes.

The best thing is the location, three streets back from the beach and right by the food and drink scene. We paid around €70 for two nights, which felt fair, and the room was clean enough, though some repairs were badly done. The staff, including housekeeping, were fabulous. Noise could be an issue because the walls between rooms seem to be partitions. A few times the lift wouldn't work because its door hadn't been shut properly, so we had to walk down from the third floor to reception. The ground floor door could use a stronger magnet. The internet was hit and miss. I'd stay again, but wouldn't pay more than we did.
