Some time ago, I put up two German ladies in an apartment. They were typical of Germans in how meticulous they were about everything, and they were very happy with the hygiene, cleanliness and facilities. They especially liked the location.
We had a great, comfortable long weekend, and the apartment was very handy for town. It’s right on the frontline, so we just crossed the road to reach the beach. The room was compact, though, and once the fold-down bed was lowered, we couldn’t open the wardrobe doors. There weren’t any reading lights by the bed. With a double and a large single bed, it could work for a family. The sofa was okay, but with the bed down we could only watch TV from the bed, since we had to move the sofa to get to the fold-outs. It was nice overall, but the layout felt oddly thought out and could use a redesign. It was fairly well equipped, though a few odd things were missing. I got the impression a bloke might have fitted it out, and it could use a woman’s touch. No real complaints, just very minor issues, so I can generally recommend it.
It’s a lovely holiday home right on the seafront, with everything you’d need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. We were so impressed that we’ve already booked for next year.
Lovely apartment in a wonderful location.
