We had half board, and there was loads of tasty, good quality food to choose from at mealtimes. If you want something between meals, the Lobby Bar has really good food and drinks at competitive prices. The hotel is lovely, just a two or three minute walk from the sea, with clean, nicely sized rooms. Everyone on staff was helpful without fuss, and there was always someone around to answer questions. We were very impressed and would definitely go again.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, even in January when some summer places are closed, so we still found lots of choice. Breakfast was nicely presented, with just the right selection for me. The hotel room was perfectly clean and adequate. We were on the night floor and the weather was awful, so the wind and noise were very loud. The bedroom doors have no soft closers, and with people coming and going at all hours, it could get noisy.

Breakfast was amazing, with a wide range of choices, and the stay was great value for money. We booked a last-minute January sunshine getaway. Our third-floor room had a good-sized balcony and a side view of the sea. The room itself was a good size and came well stocked with toiletries, a mini fridge and a hairdryer.

The hotel staff were professional and very attentive. It was my birthday during our stay, and I woke to a cake and bottle of champagne in the room, with a lovely birthday message. That personal touch made the trip even more special. We were very happy at Occidental Fuengirola, right on the promenade in the heart of a beautiful, lively town. Fuengirola and the whole Marbella area have lovely people and fantastic energy, and we enjoyed every moment of the wonderful Christmas atmosphere. We definitely recommend the hotel for its outstanding service and a truly wonderful stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The breakfast buffet was good, and the room was fairly modern with a comfortable bed. It’s a good hotel. Unfortunately, the larger swimming pool is closed during the winter months. There’s a gym, and I hope they add a leg press machine someday.
