B&B Hotel Madrid Fuenlabrada

During the night, the whole floor where my family and I were staying lost power. It was extremely hot, and when my daughter woke up I had to guide her to the bathroom using my phone's flashlight. By the start of the day my phone had run out of battery. Madrid is very hot in summer, so being without air conditioning overnight was awful. We asked management to explain what happened but still haven't heard back. Breakfast was also a sad sight, with almost nothing at the buffet. The reception staff were apparently expected to replenish it too, and seemed unsure whether they should be at reception or in the restaurant. It's disappointing to see a hotel chain I used to like decline in service like this. The stay with my family was regrettable, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel or want anyone else to have the same experience.

For the price, things were fine, though you can't expect luxury. The sheets and towels were clean and fresh, but the curtains weren't quite as clean.

I spent a week here on a business trip, working from my room and sometimes the lobby. The comfort and service were a pleasant surprise for the price, probably the best balance of cost and service I've come across. My room was very clean and comfortable enough, and I could work on my laptop without being disturbed. When the lobby got busy with families and children, as you'd expect in a public area, I could just move back to my room and carry on. The location worked well, with a supermarket and subway station nearby. I didn't get to explore Fuenlabrada, but my first impression was that the area seemed quiet and safe. I'd recommend the hotel for solo travelers or couples. I did miss scrambled eggs and sausages at breakfast, though that's just my preference. There wasn't a glass in the room either, but I could grab a paper cup from the lobby. All in all, a great stay, and I'd definitely come back.

The room was comfortable and things were generally good, but I was a little disappointed this time. I usually like staying with the B&B group, and since I was traveling with a group, I'd recommended this hotel to everyone. I had a dog with me and couldn't get room service, even though I asked. I understand some people are afraid of dogs, but a bag with towels and toilet paper left at the door could have been a solution at a pet-friendly hotel. Then one of my friends had her purse stolen while having breakfast in the breakfast room. The reception staff said it wasn't the hotel's problem. I think the property should take responsibility for what happens inside, or at least call the police.
