We’d stay again. The flat was clean and nicely decorated, with two double bedrooms, and it was only €60 per night. There’s a supermercado two minutes away on foot. We also got croissants, thanks, and everything else we needed, including washing up liquid and shampoo. A few small things didn’t really affect our stay: no oven, which was unfortunate after my stupid brother bought two pizzas; an annoying door at the bottom of the stairs and a creaky floor; no lock on the bathroom door; and no parking right outside. There’s probably free street parking a minute away.

Fuenmayor has a welcoming feel, and it’s well worth wandering its streets and getting to know its history. It’s also just 15 minutes from Logroño. The apartment is right in the center, overlooking the Church of Santa María. Our host, Raúl, was incredibly kind and courteous, and recommended places and activities we went on to do and will never forget. Highly recommended!

We barely slept because, during the festivals in the town square, fireworks apparently go off until dawn. They weren’t especially noisy, but this should have been mentioned before we booked so we could decide whether it suited us. I don’t think the festivals themselves are anyone’s fault, but a “super host” should let guests know about them in advance. The apartment is otherwise quite nice, in an old building with no elevator and rather low ceilings. My husband and son had to duck in some places. There are two beds, but my 1.80-meter-tall son didn’t fit in the one he used and had to sleep diagonally. Everything else was fine.

Raúl and the apartment both made us feel right at home. It’s a modest, welcoming place in the center of Fuenmayor, and we’d definitely try to stay here again if we return to the area. 100% recommended.
