The breakfast of bread with tomato and ham was generous and really good, and this beautiful region is absolutely worth visiting for its history, architecture, and natural scenery. I wouldn’t want people to avoid the area because of this place, which isn’t run by locals. That said, the food choices were extremely limited, the €17 half-menu felt outrageously expensive for what came with it, no bread and only water, and the service was incredibly unfriendly and unenthusiastic, to put it mildly.

We stopped in for a meal and really enjoyed the homemade food. The menu was delicious and very good value, and the service was great, with everyone being friendly. If you like a nicely decorated place with good service, I’d recommend it.

The waiter was very attentive, though there weren’t many people there, so I wonder what it’s like when the dining room is full. We didn’t stay for lunch because the room was so cold we couldn’t take off our jackets even over a beer. The place doesn’t feel very welcoming and could do with renovations.

We won’t be back. The €20 daily menu was disappointing, and the price felt far too high for the quality. The macaroni tasted like something from summer camp. The chicken stew hadn’t cooked long enough, so it was almost impossible to get the meat off the bone. The cod loin was so thin it didn’t seem like a proper loin. There wasn’t another main course available, and the dining room was empty. Dessert was the same story.
