Cabañas Maleixas

Nothing special.

A little terrace adds a lot of convenience here, and the cabins have the basics covered, including blankets and kitchenware. Heating and hot water both worked perfectly. The grounds are tidy, with a well-kept garden and a playground for kids. It's an easy walk into the village for restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket, and other shops. The cabins are clean and in very good condition, and the hosts were warm and attentive when we arrived. A handy base for seeing the area.

The beds are the big problem: the mattresses are awful, and we woke up feeling terrible. I hope they've replaced them by the time we might come back. It's a shame, because the location is fantastic, within walking distance of the town center and close to Puebla and Lake Sanabria. The cabin is small but nice for a weekend, the service was great throughout, and there's a little playground. They also have a small bar where you can get breakfast or coffee, with toast made from good bread.

We stayed this weekend, November 29, 2025. The cabins and the complex look lovely, and the location is great. The heating was working, thankfully, but the hot water was barely there. After being out in the rain for the Christmas lights switching on in Pueblo Sanabria, I was really looking forward to a hot shower. Such a letdown. The WiFi also doesn't work.
