It was around 36 degrees the day we arrived, and the room got the last of the day's sun. With no A/C, it stayed really hot at night. We later had a room facing a different direction and it was much cooler. The place is nice, and the staff are friendly, juggling different jobs, so the receptionist may also be taking restaurant orders. The restaurant has a lovely menu and very generous portions, so keep that in mind when ordering.

The restaurant was good, but the room was unbearably hot with just one fan. The countryside-facing window had a mosquito screen held on with Velcro, while the bathroom window had no screen at all. The old hydromassage shower didn't work, either. The room furnishings felt very dated: the bedspread, headboard, and some kind of canopy were dusty and served no purpose, not even as decoration. We stayed two days, and only got two sachets each of shower gel and shampoo, so we had to make do.

An accessible, simple room that was pleasant enough, with very friendly people. The restaurant is recommended, and it's a good stop on the Madrid-Ourense route.

The Tera River runs just behind the inn, with beautiful views of its waterfalls. There's plenty of private parking, and the place is quite quiet. Our room matched its description, with heating and a very nice bathroom, and the breakfasts were superb. Both the café and dining room are beautifully decorated. A fantastic stay in a perfect spot in El Puente. The staff are lovely, so ask them if you need anything.

They kindly cancelled our reservation even though the circumstances were difficult, with the wildfires. We had only planned to spend one night there while passing through, but next time we'll stay longer. Thank you.
