Hotel La Gastrocasa - Adults Only

There are just five lovely rooms, all clean and comfortable, and the hosts make the excellent service feel like being welcomed home. The pool and honesty bar give the place the feel of a private villa. It's tucked away but within walking distance of the fabulous beach and bars, making it a perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing break. The food is amazing, and there's plenty of it. We feel lucky to have found this little gem and will definitely return. Thank you.

The one thing that could improve the stay is a pick-up service. From Valencia airport, a taxi costs €80-100, or you can take the train to Gandia for under €15, though it takes longer. The train trip is simple enough, but I waited 45 minutes for a taxi when I arrived. A pickup or pre-booked cab would make things easier, perhaps especially in August at the height of the season. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this peaceful, relaxing place and would return. The hotel is stunning, in a residential area, about five minutes from a large supermarket and ten from the beach. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with comfortable beds, powerful showers, great AC, and flat-screen TVs with Netflix and other options. The room was made up and towels changed daily. There wasn't a bin in the room, and my Wi-Fi was intermittent there, though much better by the pool. The honesty bar is a great idea, with your own lockable fridge for drinks and snacks. Communication was excellent from the time I booked. Agus suggested several very good restaurants and even made reservations for me. I had breakfast three times, always super fresh and more than enough to start the day. I only ate dinner once, but it was delicious. Thanks to the whole team!

It's a quiet, peaceful place with beautiful, clean, well-equipped rooms. The owners are really helpful and friendly. I'll stay here again.

A lovely place to get away, with a great location, good food, and lovely owners.
