The food was the worst we've had in our 18 years living in Spain. At best, it came overcooked but cold; at worst, nearly raw and cold. Chicken with blood near the bone is unacceptable. Apart from the occasional cake, every dessert was bought in: flan, natillas and arroz con leche came in individual plastic pots. I don't understand how a professional kitchen can have no staff who cook traditional Spanish food. Breakfast was continental, with cereals, cheese, cold meats and bakery items, but none of the baked goods were fresh. They were all Dulcesol pre-packed products, the kind you can buy at most supermarkets. The buffet was poorly arranged too, with milk far from the cereal and tea and coffee sachets away from the hot water. We took this Imserso holiday as one of many trips my husband and I have made. The hotel is awkwardly situated and a little dated, though spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, but name badges would have been useful. Our simply furnished bedroom had plenty of cupboard and drawer space, and the walk-in shower was particularly good. You definitely need a car, as the hotel is away from any amenities.

I like that management responds to reviews and takes care of customers. Their attitude is focused on improving quality, so I think they could soon be getting superb reviews. It's a budget hotel with a swimming pool, within walking distance of the harbour, and there's entertainment at night.
