Hotel la Realda

The surrounding area is stunning, and the food is excellent. Breakfast has a good selection, and the rooms are large and clean. It's right in the heart of the old town, where cars aren't allowed, so parking is only outside on the main street. You'll need some Spanish, or you can get by with Google Translate like I did. Very good value for money, fully recommended.

We stayed three days and would definitely return. The hotel is spectacular, in what I think is the most beautiful part of Teruel. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the locals who go to the café were polite and greeted us warmly. They really appreciate tourists. You can park for free right on the street by the hotel. I had a fairly large vehicle, so I walked around to check things out before trying the narrow streets, then came in by the right entrance.

The bed was comfortable, and the continental breakfast we paid for was good. The waitress was quick and very polite. Still, we expected something different from the hotel. The loose step into the bathing area was a problem, and there wasn't enough hot water for either the bath or shower, so we ended up practically showering in cold water.

The rooms were nice and clean, and the service was friendly. There's a little café shared with locals where you can get burgers, pizza, bravas, and more, which was just what we needed for an early night after climbing in Albarracin. They also offer a bigger lunch menu, but we didn't try it. Breakfast was delicious and a good price, with toast, ham, juice, and so on. The heating stays on all the time. Hot water takes a while to arrive, but it does. Highly recommended.
