Jardines del Visir

The homemade food was delicious, with loads of great choices. We had breakfast and dinner booked, and they let us collect dinner and eat it in the apartment whenever we liked. The women running the place were so kind and always ready to help. Our apartment was comfortable, too. Highly recommend it, and I hope we can return next year.

We were eight at the cottage for a weekend, and it didn't work well for us. The place felt too small, especially the living room, and the mattresses creaked whenever anyone moved. It was dirty and badly maintained, with serious damp. We couldn't open the windows because there are lots of cats in the village, and the owners hadn't properly opened the windows for us. Parking isn't close, so we had to haul our bags and groceries up about 200 meters of hills. The town is pretty, but apart from a fairly expensive mini-market, there aren't services. Getting there means driving mountain roads that are in poor shape, narrow, and hard to see along.

The village is charming, and both the apartment and the service were great. This was our second stay, and we're sure to come back.

We had a lovely few days, Wednesday through Sunday last week, with our dog. The simple apartment had everything we needed for the stay and was good value. Verónica welcomed us and offered breakfast and dinner at the Posada del Recovero, which can be a little hard to find in the village. We also asked for firewood and got excellent service. There was an initial mix-up with Booking.com, but the owners sorted it out efficiently and we booked without trouble. Thanks to them for taking such good care of us. We enjoyed the surroundings and local attractions.
