Gran Hotel Los Abetos

After a tiring day walking the Camino, this was a quiet, comfortable place to sleep. Pilgrims don't need to stay in a crowded area, and I'd stay here again if I return to this city. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. You can ask for a breakfast box if you're setting out early for the Camino. The container was like the one in my photo.

The garden was lovely, and the sunset from there was beautiful. Our villa was pleasant too, though it was extremely dark and had hardly any natural light. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed three nights at the end of our Camino dos Faro. Before arriving, we told reception that one of us couldn't have egg or lactose, and they said the breakfast buffet had plenty of options. In reality, there was nothing except fruit, and the service team didn't seem to know about the request. Asking about lactose-free products felt like a lottery. Some days there was nothing, and on a lucky day we might get some milk. That really needs improvement, especially nowadays. I'm not sure I'd return.

The room we had, a “Villa,” had a disgusting, strong smell of damp and old furniture on its first floor. We couldn't air it out, even with the balcony and windows open constantly, and absolutely everything we owned picked up the musty smell. Aside from that, the hotel is generally good. The grounds are well kept, the landscaping is interesting, and there's a nice garden and a good restaurant. The bus from the hotel to the city center is convenient.

The pool was lovely, the decor was nice, breakfast was good, and the restaurant staff were friendly. The blonde woman at reception, though, wasn't friendly, and the sofa bed was uncomfortable. The family villa wasn't as spacious as advertised. The quoted 65 m² probably counts the parking space. Breakfast was quite expensive too. It was a nice stay, but for the price I expected more.
