Albergue La Estación - Hostel

The albergue was clean, quiet at night, had places to charge phones, and was close to both the station and the city. There was no bad smell either. My three friends and I stayed one night a few days ago and had a really good time, even though it was brief. The host was incredible, polite, and empathetic. He gave up his own free time, involved his son, and did what he could to help me with a serious problem. Afterwards, we all had a joyful time at a nearby bar. I also enjoyed chatting with the funny, clever young woman at reception. Thanks to all the staff, greetings from Poland!

The staff were helpful, and everything was clean and tidy. It’s handy for early departures, with the train and bus stations nearby. They provide cotton sheets, a pillowcase, and a blanket, and towels are available too.

The room was clean and there was no unpleasant smell, but it was quite cold inside, which made my one night less comfortable. The hostel is very close to the train station, a real advantage if you’re using public transport. One host seemed a little arrogant toward another guest, though his manner improved later and he was polite again. The place covered the basics, but I’d probably stay somewhere else next time. It may still suit budget travelers who want to be near the station.

The setting felt old and odd, the bed squeaked, and the toilet smelled. That’s all I can say for two stars: one for the great location and one for the kind staff I met.
