A favorite spot of mine in Bilbao, with a lovely atmosphere, bars, a beach, and, of course, the sunset. You can walk from here all the way to Portugalete. Getting there is easy by Metro: get off at Algorta station and head down towards the sea.

If you're around Algorta, I really recommend visiting this little fisherman's village. It's cozy, with beautiful views and plenty of small restaurants where you can stop and try Basque food. Fish is king here! There's a beach at the bottom of the village too, a lovely way to finish an excursion.
