We had breakfast in the cafeteria each morning, and both the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, with fantastic views and hiking paths nearby. Hotel La Colina is tucked away outside town, but it takes about 10 minutes to get in. The staff were among the friendliest people we met on our trip, and this was the highlight of our time in Europe. We’ll be back.

We stayed here on a tour of the area in our camper van for my special birthday. The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There are fantastic views, and the coastal path runs right by the place, with a lovely moderate walk into Gijon. Absolutely superb.

The views of the cliffs are stunning, and the remote setting works well as a base or for an overnight stop. The rooms are great. The café bar is okay and stays open until 9.00. I enjoyed the breakfast and coffee, and appreciated being allowed to park my motorcycle inside the gates.

The sound insulation and mattresses need attention, but I’d definitely come back. The staff were amazing and the views spectacular. Breakfast was good rather than great, since they served only cold dishes. Still, fresh-squeezed orange juice and coffee made in front of you are high on my breakfast priorities.
