Hostel Bed in Girona

Nothing special, just a standard hostel stay. The bathrooms and hallways were clean and tidy for the price, and I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was included.

The place is cheap and in a great location, but that's about all it has going for it. It was generally unclean, with a sticky film of grime over everything in the kitchen and toilets. On arrival, the attendant was polite and helpful, spoke English when I wasn't fluent in Spanish, and helped me operate a cooker that was slightly broken. But later that night, I wasn't allowed onto the building's second floor to refill my water bottle with drinking water, and nobody explained why. The cleanliness became disgusting when I spotted a small patch of blood on my bedsheets. I attached a photo. I'd rate it 1/10. I'd say it's worth paying another €10-15 to find somewhere nicer.

The bathroom was dirty and disastrous, and I was scammed and deceived by the receptionist. The young man at reception provided very poor service. It's shameful for someone at the desk to behave that way toward customers. The worst hotel in the most beautiful city.

I was worried by the negative reviews, haha, but it turned out to be alright. It's an average old hostel in an old building. The rooms and beds are ordinary, and the amenities are average, though there is a kitchen, fridge, and microwave. I liked that there were plenty of toilets and showers. Nothing special, but no need to be scared.
