Things were missing from my room, which was the worst part of my stay. I’d spent the day out and came back to find my bag gone. The cleaning lady had been in because the trash had been taken out. I told reception, but the staff couldn’t speak English. It’s a shame that someone without basic English works at a hostel reception in the 21st century. The receptionist managed to understand with Google Translate and wrote it down, but nothing was done. Be careful with your belongings if you stay here, they disappear. I was in Girona for a week of study, and the room was disgusting: I slept on a sponge, the bathrooms were dirty, pipes under the sink leaked, there was no hot water in the bathrooms, and there were no towels. Think twice before booking.

Our room had no window. The showers were an unforgettable trip through every temperature, with water blasting at you and nothing you can do about it. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a good hostel in a great location for a reasonable price, and basic breakfast is included.

The staff were very kind and polite, and basic breakfast was included. It’s an old building with shared bathrooms and bunk beds. I booked it as a cheap place to spend one night while driving from Madrid to Milan. Worked well for that.

It’ll do if you’re after somewhere cheap in the heart of Girona. The staff were nice and the place was clean, and for the price it was pretty good overall. The beds were small and felt medical, though, and the breakfast bread was stale.

Being in the middle of the medieval old town meant attractions were only a short walk away, and it was such a pleasure to stay there. I booked a dorm bed for three nights and got lucky with a room to myself. The staff were really helpful, even lending me an umbrella one evening.
