Hotel Palau Fugit

The bar and its incredible drink selection were a highlight, and I loved the shower and hair products. Rooms are very clean and well kept, and they suit a weekend getaway. The staff are really kind and friendly. A few little things weren’t quite right, but nothing you can’t live with. The pool is nice, though the hot stone wasn’t hot. Cyclists have a great setup, with bike storage just 100m up the road.

The food and drink spots are fantastic, and breakfast is a must, the restaurant is stunning. The beds are sensational and the rooms are well equipped, including a complimentary minibar. Service felt intuitive, from the front desk through to the cafe. Truly a great hotel.

Palau Fugit is new, spotless, and beautifully designed, with modern boutique-style rooms. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of fresh choices, and there’s a cool brewery with great beer right across the street. The hotel is in a perfect spot in the heart of Girona’s old town. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Thanks especially to Lara, who helped move me to a higher floor so I’d be further from the street noise. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, and the hotel itself was quiet, though you might hear people out in the street. The layout was a little strange, with the sink in the middle of the entrance, but it wasn’t terrible. The location is good, though taxis have to drop you about 100 meter away because the center is pedestrian only. Breakfast was my biggest issue. There wasn’t much choice, and the fixed selection of eggs and charcuterie was overly salty. I usually avoid charcuterie, but ate it so I wouldn’t be hungry later. This isn’t a 5 star hotel. It wasn’t horrible, but it could definitely be improved.
