I found the stay sufficient for the price, though the rooms are very small and the bathroom is so compact that there's barely room to move. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was here hiking the Camino Primitivo after someone snored so loudly at another albergue that I couldn't sleep. The walls here are thin too, but they do have quiet time after 23:00. There's no laundry machine. Still, it was better than sharing a dorm with seven other people.

The woman at the bar was kind, and we got by talking in my broken 'Spanglish'. It also pushed me to make Spanish a priority for the rest of the journey. This was my first stop on the Primitivo from Ovedio in July, during a really busy period. I hadn't realised albergues needed to be booked ahead, so I found this hotel in town. I'm glad I didn't have a reservation at an albergue that night, because the room was much nicer than I expected. That comfort on day one gave me a taste of what might be ahead.

The pilgrim menu was very good, with generous portions, and the place was clean and quiet. The owners were really helpful, even though I don't speak Spanish. A great place for pilgrims to stay.

I'm on pilgrimage toward Santiago and this is just the kind of hotel I was hoping to find. It's wonderful and such good value. The owner is washing my ridiculous amount of laundry now. Looking forward to the pilgrim menu later.

Hey Peregrinos, the place itself is fine, but they may try to get you to book a room for 3 even when double rooms are available. Don't let them take advantage of your goodwill.
