We rented two rooms, and the rooms were very small and overdue for repairs. Things were partly broken, the bathroom had fungus throughout, and there was hair from previous guests on the wall. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. Parking was a mess from the start. The hotel has no parking of its own, and nearby parking wasn’t realistically available. Although they advertise parking for €20, the message after booking gave us options that didn’t match that. Ours was 400 meters away and cost 3/€ per hour or 30€ per day. I don’t understand why the hotel states a different price. When I tried to explain the problems to the woman at reception, she kept interrupting and insisting things weren’t that bad. I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but this stay made me feel I had to.

The room looked nice and clean, and reception staff were friendly and helpful. I also liked the hotel’s old Alhambra-style look. But the night was awful. We faced a busy street on the second floor, and the windows let in so much noise. The bed bounced whenever my partner moved, and we barely slept. The bathroom fan was dusty, old and far too loud to leave on. There were other problems too: the TV switched itself on and off during the night, and some lights flickered. Maybe there’s a ghost in the room, who knows. I’d have liked better coffee in the room, or at least decent coffee for sale at reception. The hotel is downtown and easy to get around from, but we didn’t enjoy the stay. We were only there one night and won’t book again.

The room was old and didn’t look like the photos, and there wasn’t anywhere to put things in the bathroom. Wi-Fi was awful. The fire alarm went off at 10:45pm, but no staff came to sort it out. Guests waited and called for 30 minutes. The hotel didn’t respond, which felt really irresponsible.

The room was small but clean and pleasant, and I liked the hotel’s oriental design. It had a nice spa-like smell, too. The hotel is close to the historic city center, so the location worked well for us. I did miss having a proper bar where I could get coffee or a drink and sit on the attractive indoor terrace. There was only a machine with drinks and small snacks.

The room was lovely and clean, with nice toiletries, a view and a French balcony. The bed was harder than I like, though, and we weren’t bothered by the church bells at all. It’s on a small side street and well located. The staff gave us useful ideas for things to do and see, and the service was really good. We arrived after 5:00 PM, but check-in went smoothly, with excellent instructions.
