Apartamentos Lara

We came for a weekend to see my friend's family, and the whole stay turned into a nightmare. From the moment we arrived, the apartment was filthy and the welcome was unfriendly. It smelled musty, so we had to air it out and use air freshener. There was hair all over the beds, which had no covers, and the dining room was dusty and grimy, as though it hadn't been cleaned since the previous guests or someone had been staying there when we got in. The bathroom was the worst. It was tiny and so dirty, with hair everywhere and what looked like mold, that neither of us dared to shower. There was toothpaste in the sink, and the towels were dirty and covered in hair. On top of that, we were watched and reprimanded constantly. They wouldn't let us play background music while getting ready, and kept threatening to call the police to scare us. When some of my friend's cousins came over because they hadn't seen each other in years, we were told to pay the difference. The people were incredibly unpleasant and, in my opinion, ruined our trip. They gave us ten minutes to pack or they would call the police. It was a terrible experience with terrible people. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. If you want to enjoy time with family and friends, book somewhere else. For the worst experience of your life, come to Apartamentos Lara.

The location is perfect, which makes it even more frustrating, but the place was dreadful. It was filthy wherever you looked, with hair and pet hair even in the cups, and nothing seemed washed. We put paper towels down so we wouldn't have to touch the surfaces. I have a dust allergy, and I spent the whole stay without showering. Not exactly pleasant.

The photos don't reflect what we found. The apartment was dirty, especially under the beds, and the old bathroom was filthy and full of hair. Awful.

The pool was practically all ours, and they even sent us some places to visit over WhatsApp. The apartment was beautifully decorated, well equipped, peaceful, and very comfortable, almost like being at home. It's completely dog friendly, too. We stayed a few days with my partner, my son, and our little dog. Even though it's so close to the center with plenty of services nearby, parking was easy, almost right next to the place. One of the hosts welcomed us, showed us where everything was, and gave us her number in case we needed anything. It's a great place to switch off.
