Apartamentos Muralla Ziri

We had a delightful stay in an amazing house. The host was kind, and communicating through WhatsApp was easy. Highly recommend!

The location is very central and the apartment was clean. The code lock system for the keys also worked smoothly. We stayed three nights at Muralla Ziri in a large ground-floor apartment, with a living area and kitchen, a shower room, and a bedroom with an adjacent whirlpool and another shower. It looks luxurious at first, but there are maintenance issues: a broken hanging lamp, loose floor panels, and a rough bathroom floor. The bed was on the small side too. Noise was the bigger problem. Traffic and suitcases rolling over the cobblestones came through so clearly it felt like there was no wall. The front door made a loud, irritating noise each time someone opened it from outside, and that happened often because there are several apartments in the complex. A taxi can’t get to the place, so expect a few minutes’ uphill walk with your luggage.

The executive suite had lovely views of the Alhambra, and the air conditioning worked well. The location is very central. These are self-service apartments rather than a hotel, so they feel a little less luxurious, but the fully equipped kitchen is a real plus. A good choice if you want to stay in the center of the Albaicin and head out to explore.

The location is right in the heart of the cute open-air market, with everything within walking distance. Staff were welcoming, and our room was clean. Getting there from the main road with luggage was a bit difficult: the cobblestone path goes uphill, and taxis don’t go up. On our first night in December, the heat wasn’t working. We arrived too late to go downstairs to the office and let them know, so it was a chilly night, though they fixed it the next day. I’d absolutely stay here again.
