El Balcón del Tajo

The accommodation was excellent and easy to find with Sat Nav. We had a garage for the car and left it there for the whole stay. The Old Town and Cathedral area were about a 3 or 4 km walk away. I wouldn’t recommend driving in the walled town.

A lovely apartment at the foot of the old city, with easy walks to everywhere. I’d highly recommend it for a Toledo holiday.

The location works very well for sightseeing in Toledo. It’s especially convenient that you can park and cook indoors, although the parking space is narrow. There were a few issues: the air conditioner is noisy and doesn’t cool the room even when left on, and the showerhead seems broken and hasn’t been replaced. With the kitchen gas stove, turning the valve only releases gas, so you need to light it with a match kept in the cupboard directly above. Take care when boiling water too, as there’s a chance the power could go out.

We had a fantastic weekend at El Balcón del Tajo. Private parking is a real luxury in Toledo and made the stay much easier. Communication was clear and straightforward throughout, so arrival and everything after it went smoothly. The apartment is cozy, bright, and clean despite being on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the quiet surroundings helped us sleep well. It’s right by the river in a peaceful area, with lovely views, and only a few minutes’ walk from the San Martín Bridge and the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. The historic center is close too, as is the Mirador del Valle viewpoint for a spectacular panorama of the city. Small supermarkets, local shops, a pharmacy, and several restaurants are nearby, so you don’t have to go far for essentials or a meal. Great location, comfort, and value. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Toledo.
