B&B Hotel Granada Estación

This was my second stay, and I’d come back again. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was fabulous, and the hotel was clean. It’s handy for public transport into the town centre, and having checkout at 12 pm is great.

We stayed here twice during our road trip in Spain and had breakfast both mornings. We only needed somewhere to sleep and didn’t expect much. The rooms are very spacious, and the underground garage at 10 euros a night was a plus. Breakfast hours are broad enough, though the buffet in the building’s general lobby isn’t very cozy. The selection is limited and felt repetitive by the second day. There are a lot of little practical problems in the room. There’s just one trash bin for the room and adjoining bathroom, basically a bucket with no liner or lid, which doesn’t feel hygienic, especially for women. No drinking glass in the bathroom for brushing your teeth, and no sink plug, so filling it with water to shave is difficult. A water bottle in the room would have been nice, though we could buy one at reception. The air conditioning only starts when you put your key card in the slot, so the room is sweltering when you arrive. It’s also outdated and doesn’t cool the room properly. The TV has no smart services for streaming, and mirroring a phone or tablet doesn’t work either.

The room and breakfast were excellent, and the whole hotel was very clean with a pleasant smell throughout. If you’re arriving by bus, this is a top choice, and you can leave your luggage there for free. Reception has a nice seating area, a toilet, and a drinks machine, which was really useful when collecting our bags. The reception staff were nice and helpful.

For an affordable stay in Granada, the rooms were clean and well maintained, though small. The mattresses were comfortable, and the bathroom was better designed than I expected, especially the shower. Breakfast costs extra, and I didn’t choose it. With the low price, it’s best to keep expectations realistic. The main problem was having just one electrical outlet in our room. There were three of us trying to charge phones and other devices, so that was inconvenient. Check-in also got complicated: I booked through Agoda, but the receptionist said the reservation came through a third-party agency. The advertised price with breakfast was 46 USD per night, but I ended up paying around 100 USD without breakfast. I was dissatisfied with Agoda and wouldn’t recommend booking through that platform based on my experience.
