Futurotel Spa Garden

We were happy with the room we booked. It was clean and spacious, and the price was excellent value. The website made it clear there were capsule and room options, and we chose a room. The location was good.

This hotel is corrupt. They keep tricking people. We booked a room, but when we arrived they gave us a capsule. We showed them our confirmation, which said "room," but they said their front desk computer showed a capsule booking and there was nothing they could do. It was cold and uncomfortable for two people, with just a plain sheet and no comforter. It was noisy, like sleeping in a plastic tent. At the tourist office, they told us this happens a lot and that other people had the same problem. Don’t stay here if you want a nice visit to lovely Granada. When we asked for help, staff only called the booking site and then said they couldn’t do anything. We’d looked forward to the trip for a whole year and saved up for it, so this really ruined a lot. The cabinets are unsafe too, and your things may be stolen.

The city-center location was good, and the staff were polite and kept cleaning every area several times a day. But the security situation was awful. The pod doors could be opened without a key, and all the locker locks were broken. Staff knew about it and even showed some guests how to open pods, but nobody warned me. I only learned from other guests after someone entered my pod and took two bank cards and cash from my bag, then spent more than €650. When I raised it with staff, they said they could speak to the manager. My booking agency has emailed futurotel since, but got no response. It feels like gross negligence at best, or systematic theft from customers at worst. Don't stay unless you're prepared to keep your valuables on you at all times.

What a horrible hotel. The staff seemed to disappear when we needed help, and after my things were stolen, they basically did nothing. One woman we spoke to was no help at all. She asked whether our bag was black, then brought it back after we said yes, but the laptop and other valuables were gone. She said she'd found it in another person's storage area. How would she know where the bag was?
