Hospedaje La Almohada

The woman who owns the place was so welcoming and friendly, and gave us really useful information. We arrived at the last minute after a terrible stay at our previous hostal, and were very glad we switched. The place is beautiful, spotless, and decorated tastefully in Granadian style. It feels elegant and romantic, but comfortable too. I wasn’t sure about shared bathrooms at first, but there are three and they’re so clean that sharing hardly registers. This was my favorite address of the whole trip in Andalusia. I’d have stayed longer if the rooms hadn’t all been booked for the weekend. Thanks again for such a heartwarming welcome. I’ll definitely come back!

The room wasn’t quite what I expected, as it didn’t have a door knob, but it didn’t bother me too much. Bring your own shampoo and wash products for the bathrooms. They do provide nice towels, and the rooms have air conditioning. Everything was kept clean.

The beds are comfortable, and both the rooms and bathrooms are nice. The kitchen is okay, with a fire, pots, pans, cutlery, cups, glasses, a water cooker, and a coffee pot. There’s a lovely big clean fridge, but no oven or microwave, which would be handy. The wifi kept going in and out. It worked best in the communal area, but there are no plugs there for a laptop or phone. There’s no entertainment like a TV or games, though you’re in central Granada, which is good but can get noisy. You can do washing for 5 euros and dry your clothes on the roof terrace. Overall, a good hostal (hotel). Could use some improvements, but I slept well!

The interior is really beautiful and very cool, and the kitchen has everything you need. The area gets very loud since it’s close to a well frequented thoroughfare. The owners were very rude and very loud.
