Hostal Camino Real

I forgot something important in the room, but after I called and emailed them my address, they sent it promptly. It arrived perfectly packaged, and the guest even paid the postage. Thank you so much. The reception was open all afternoon, access was easy, and the rooms were spacious, some with terraces. Everything was very clean, and there were two extra pillows. The area isn't the city's best, but it's close to public transport. You can get to the Alhambra in 10 minutes by transport, or walk there in 40-50 minutes. It's near the highway, and the upstairs neighbors, who have children, were noisy until 11 pm. After that it was quiet enough to sleep.

The room was large and very clean, with a comfortable mattress and a terrace. The bathroom was also large, though very poorly designed. Road noise didn't bother us inside. The residential building itself was a problem. The neighbors were incredibly noisy: a woman shouted with her family all night while they moved chairs around, and through the paper-thin walls we could hear the entire game the man next door was watching. The hostel hallway smelled of tobacco, and sometimes it drifted into our room.

Parking was a real challenge, and the place isn't very close to the center, though it was good value for the price. Inside, it was very clean, the mattress was comfortable, and the rooms were clean. The bathroom was fully equipped, and the showers worked perfectly. The receptionist was very friendly and courteous. The TV was a bit small, but that didn't matter to me. Otherwise, it was great.

We wanted to rest, but the noise made that impossible. We were woken by a mother making a tremendous racket with her children. I couldn't tell if it came from neighbors in the building or from the hostel itself, but it was unbearable. It's a shame that noisy people disturb everyone else. When my partner and I arrived, we realized the hostel was actually apartment 1A in a residential building. The apartment was spacious, with lots of rooms, and very clean and tidy. The bathroom was very large, and our room had heating, a television, and air conditioning, everything we could need. Noise from outside was bothersome too. That's why I rated it this way.
