Hotel Casa 1800 Granada

My fiancée and I stayed one night at Hotel Casa 1800, in a beautiful 16th-century building. We’d asked for a room without a mirror facing the bed, and they arranged it without any fuss. It was spacious, very clean and surprisingly quiet. The staff were attentive and friendly. They even shared some history about the building, which felt like a thoughtful personal touch. Breakfast was tasty as well. We’d love to return when we travel to Andalusia again.

We’d happily stay here again, especially for the price. It’s an old hotel down a very narrow path, in a building and area that are hundreds of years old. The rooms have an old-school Spanish feel, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The full breakfast was lovely. Afternoon tea came with a generous spread of cookies and cakes, plus even a tortilla de patata bocadillo.

Afternoon tea was a lovely, thoughtful extra, and the location made it easy to wander around the old streets of the Albaicin. We loved our stay at this beautiful Granada hotel. Our room was traditional, comfortable, clean and well appointed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. It was my birthday while we were there, and they noticed and brought us a bottle of Cava on the house. I’ve never had service like that for the very reasonable price we paid. We’ll recommend the hotel and come back. We arrived on a cold, wet January day before the room was ready. They checked us in, stored our bags and had the room waiting when we returned. It overlooked the courtyard, had a quirky, well-furnished feel and was a good size, with a large comfortable bed, wardrobe, tea and coffee facilities, and a big bathroom with a walk-in shower. This is a lovely boutique hotel with a top-class atmosphere. The reception area was warm and welcoming. We didn’t have breakfast, though it looked very good. Tea and coffee were available to help yourself to in the courtyard throughout the day, and they served afternoon tea each afternoon. The location just off Plaza Nueva is great, with plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
