Hotel Rosa D´Oro

Maya at the desk was friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. Those are the two good things. The place was too dark, there was no front desk at night and no phones in the rooms. The shampoo and gel came in tiny packets, and the mattresses were horrible. It was unclean, too.

The room was gorgeous, with a cute balcony and a lovely view, especially of the Alhambra at night. They also accommodated our room choice so we could have the one we wanted. We could easily walk to the Alhambra, Albaizin, a Sacramonte flamenco show, and delicious tapas spots, with taxis waiting in the square just down the street. Santiago at reception suggested places when we arrived, and they were wonderful. The whole team was friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our anniversary special. Amazing location and service, an amazing stay. Ten stars if I could.

Daniela was especially kind and helpful when we arrived in distress, and all three desk attendants were personable and lovely. The room was comfortable and clean. There’s an elevator after the first stairs up to the lobby, which our sore knees really appreciated. The hotel sits between two bridges with a view of Alahambra. Great people and location, we’ll be back and highly recommend it.

We thought breakfast would be available, but it seemed they’d stopped serving it. There was a free Nespresso machine, though, and skipping breakfast at the hotel got us out exploring earlier. The room was simple but lovely and clean, on the third floor. The street can be busy and a bit noisy, but that has its own charm. Staff were friendly, the beds were made each day, and even the wine glasses were changed. A lovely stay, and I’d come back to Granada and stay here again. 4 Gatos, five minutes up and behind, is a good breakfast option.
