The price is good for the location, and having a sink in the room was a welcome extra. It's about a 15 to 20 minute uphill walk to the Alhambra gate, or roughly 20 minutes by bus, with the stop only three minutes away on foot. This is a room facility, though, and the shared bathrooms and showers are set up like a public one. Each is individual, but they're in the same area, so don't expect much privacy. There's no room service, though you can request it for an affordable extra. We ran out of paper towels over the weekend, and small details like that should be covered by the owner. The shower water was always hot, almost too hot to make showering possible, and there were a few other things that could be fixed.

We were uneasy at first about sharing a bathroom, since my mother had never done that before, but the toilets and showers were very clean and it worked out fine. I only wish there had been a shelf or hook in the shower stall for a towel or change of clothes. We hung a plastic bag from the shower door handle instead. The room was very clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, a juliet balcony, and a sink. Carlos got in touch before we arrived and was easy to reach in town, with lots of knowledge about Granada. The hosts are lovely and friendly, and the location is perfect. I'd certainly return and highly recommend it.

Sightseeing was easy from here, with restaurants and tapas bars all around and L'Alhambra about a 20 minute walk away. The owner was especially helpful with parking. It is the central old town, though, so getting a medium sized camper through those narrow streets was hair-raising. The apartment was small but comfortable, everything worked, the washing machine was a bonus, wifi was fast, and the beds were comfortable. We'd stay again.

Plaza nueva is right downhill, with lots of tapas places and spots to stroll among churches, monuments, and old buildings. Heading uphill for about 15 minutes takes you through a beautiful wood to the Alhambra palace. Great location.
