Getting into the water is slippery, and rocks below make it pretty dangerous. The waves also break unevenly. For a spot said to be the best for surfing in El Medano, it didn't live up to what I expected.

This is one of my favorite beaches in the south of the island, and parking has never been a problem for me. I only go when there’s no wind, though. Strong winds can make it far less enjoyable.

It’s very close to El Médano, with a hotel, supermarket, and ATM nearby. The beach looks out toward Montaña Roja and is a perfect place to catch the sunset.

There are several beaches and natural pools here, with lifeguards on duty. The water is pristine, thanks to the rocks and black sand. One of the island’s beaches.
