Beautiful place, but the staff can't speak English or any other languages. They only speak Spanish.

The house is in a great spot, right in a typical white village and very central. It's one of the prettiest villages in the Grazalema mountains. Street parking is available, and the street was quiet during our stay. We spent three nights in December. The mattress was comfortable, the water got very warm, and there was what we needed for a few days, though toiletries weren't included. The ground-floor lighting was fine, despite what I'd read in other reviews. The big drawback was the cold. It's a three-story house, and when we arrived in the afternoon it was freezing. We wish the heating had been turned on before we got there. The living room's electric radiator couldn't warm the room, especially with cold coming through the front door. There's also a fireplace, but the only wood left for us was one thick log, which wasn't enough to get it going without more supplies. You can call the woodcutter, who brings what you need in under an hour. A sack cost €7, and we bought two for the three days. Without the fireplace, the house would have been hard to stay in. The small electric radiator in the bedroom didn't heat the whole room either, so the first day was very cold. On the other days we left the heating on while we were out, but it still wasn't enough for the whole house. When we came back, it stayed cold until we sat right by the fireplace and the living room warmed a little. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant stay at a very reasonable price. Pepi was attentive to everything we mentioned. The town has a supermarket, restaurants, and a pharmacy, with a great atmosphere, plus fantastic hiking trails and equally good food.
The location is great, but the house itself felt uninviting. The sheets were extremely worn and scratchy, and the towels were just as uncomfortable. The two radiators did very little, even though it wasn't even winter cold, and the walls were freezing. We bought firewood and kept the fire going all weekend, but only one person could get warm by sitting practically inside the fireplace.
It's a typical village house, nicely decorated and stocked with what you need for a relaxing few days. The stairs up to the bedrooms are awkward if you have mobility issues.
A cozy, lovely village house with lots of nice little touches. It isn't luxurious, but it has all the things that really matter.
