Hotel Rural Conde Tio Medina

The owners were really hospitable and cooked us a great dinner on both nights. I was there with a university group for two nights and enjoyed the stay, even though I'm more of a homebody and city lover. The basic beds seemed made for practicality rather than comfort, and there were a few minor shortcomings. The place is tucked away among banana plantations and was hard to find, though it's close to "el Teide". Take time to visit if you're nearby. Comfort isn't everything, and you can feel at one with the place.

Everything else was good, but breakfast was very pricey. The rooms were ugly and the beds bad. Getting there was tough too: the road is bumpy and unpaved, and you can't reach the place without a car.

It was a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We arrived with friends by taxi and paid 100 euro because it was so far from the airport. It felt like the middle of nowhere. Don't believe the claim that it's 2 km from the city, they're lying. It's not a three-star hotel, not even one star. Don't get fooled by this place. After a long search, thank God we found an apartment. It cost a lot, but at least we felt safe. The place seemed ready for our reaction, since what was written wasn't what we found. I want to share this because what they do to people isn't fair. Plus, it wasn't refundable.

Lovely people, and I really liked the place. It was cheap, the service was good, the rooms were clean and the Wi-Fi and food were free. We spent New Year's Eve there once and got a free dinner. Nice view too!
