Hotel Rural El Navío

The big balcony has a stunning view over the banana plantation to La Gomera, and the pool area is lovely too. It's peaceful and quiet here. The village is about a 2 km walk away, with lots of great restaurants. A good base for hiking and walking, with friendly staff who don't intrude. Breakfast and evening meals are available as well. Love this place. 💛🍌

A lovely, clean pool gives you a peaceful spot to cool off, relax or read, and the sea sounds wonderful. The beach is just a five-minute walk through the plantation. From there, smooth coastal paths take you toward the local town, 4 km away, whether you're walking or running. This family-run place has a unique feel, set among banana plants and away from the usual tourist hotspots. Breakfast includes fresh eggs from the owners' chickens and delicious baked bananas. It's a great base for cycling in Tenerife and visiting Masca. Highly recommended.

The adults-only hotel has just a few rooms, so it's very peaceful. We even had the pool area to ourselves twice, and it's a lovely place. The service is welcoming and friendly, and the food is lovely too. It's a rustic hotel in a large banana plantation, close to Alcala in Tenerife. The rooms are charming, though the decor is a little tired. Popular tourist spots are far enough away for quiet, but shops and bars are still nearby. We didn't hire a car and could still get around easily, though I'd say it's ideal if you do have one. I'd recommend it if you want to switch off without being too far from amenities.

We had dinner at the hotel on both nights and enjoyed it. The setting is very peaceful, surrounded by a banana plantation. We came back after ten years and felt the place had gone downhill quite a bit since our last visit. The welcome was cold and not very good. Our superior room had a Nespresso machine, but having to pay for the pods each day felt odd. The old, ill-fitting doors and furniture also made a lot of noise.
