Hotel Arrope

There were four of us for a meal, and the food was amazing, with very good wines and really friendly service. We came last year too, and it was just as good this time. We'll 100% be back.

The hotel is brilliantly placed, just two minutes from the plaza and the bars and restaurants. The staff were wonderful, especially Carolina at reception, who was as helpful as could be. The extractor fan that starts whenever the bathroom light is on kept the room from getting five stars. We worked around it by picking up a plug-in night light for the shaver outlet at the Chinese bazaar. I'd definitely stay again. Brilliant.

The hotel's restaurant was excellent, the staff were kind, and the place was clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly right in central Haro. Free parking is quite close, and Barrio de la Estación is only a quick walk away. The bar noise made it hard to get to bed early on Friday and Saturday, which is why I gave four stars instead of five. I'd still recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

The town square, with its music, entertainment, and lively tapas bars, was only a five-minute push from the hotel. I use a wheelchair, and the accessible room worked very well; the shower chair was easy to get onto and much more stable than most hotel shower chairs I've used. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and all the staff were interested and helpful. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our first night because we didn't feel like going out, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The service and food were first class. The owner, Miguel, talked us through the menu and took our order, and his enthusiasm was a pleasure to see. Every course through to coffee was superb. We brought my brother-in-law and his wife the second night, and they were just as delighted. We were very happy with the whole experience and thoroughly recommend the hotel.
