We found a broken bedroom lamp already hanging off the wall when we arrived, and took a photo in case there was a dispute later. There weren't enough towels for everyone either, but we had brought our own and didn't report it. After we left, the owner said there were two broken lamps and two missing towels, then charged 200 EUR from our deposit for damage that had already been there. We tried calling several times and shared the photo, but got no response. Avoid this apartment if you want to avoid problems.

The beds are really comfortable, and one of the rooms also has a terrace. Everything you need for a comfortable holiday is in this great apartment. From the rooftop terrace there's a gorgeous view of Santa Barbara Castle. It's right in the middle of el Barrio in the old center of alicante. I'd love to live here if I could!

Getting around from this old town apartment was easy: the C6 airport bus runs every 20 minutes for €4, Mercat tram stop is nearby, and in five minutes you can reach the beach, a bar, a supermarket by the tram stop, or the path up to the castle. The castle is right on the doorstep, with loads of bars and restaurants around. We stayed Monday to Friday and it was quiet, though weekend nights might be noisy with all the local bars. Ear plugs are provided, but neither of us needed them, even my light-sleeping wife. We stayed 6th to 10th February 2023 and would likely return. The place is a great two bed apartment with a very modern interior. There are two balconies, one Juliet and one proper, plus a roof terrace that gets loads of sun. My double bed was super comfy and I slept well every night. The bathroom was clean and tidy. Hot water did run out if you were the last in the building to shower, but it warmed up again soon, so it wasn't a big deal. The kitchen has a toaster, kettle, coffee maker, combi oven/microwave and dishwasher. There's an android TV for the popular apps, just remember your log in, and local TV is available too.

The owners were quick to respond whenever we needed something, which helped make the experience so good. We had an amazing time in Alicante and were very comfortable in the apartment. Our stay in barrio was unbeatable. We'll definitely be back! Greetings from Martin and Xenia

Would you trust four five-star reviews appearing in four weeks after months and years with none? Lodgers shouldn't make up reviews or invent fantasy prices for extra services such as late check-in, cleaning, or welcome gifts. Keep that in mind if you want to enjoy your vacation.
