We stopped by a few times while visiting the lovely village of Hecho, sometimes for drinks and later for lunch. We enjoyed every visit. In May, only a handful of places were open during the week, and the staff here were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome. Our Spanish was poor and they didn’t speak much English, but we managed with Google and pointing things out by hand. The cooking was delicious, hearty regional food, made at home, with generous portions. We tried artichokes with prawns and mushrooms, followed by pork cheeks and lamb shank. The meat was wonderfully tender, and the sauces were rich with flavour. There’s a small dining room and a few outdoor tables. It filled up over the weekend, and we saw people turned away, so I’d book ahead. I’d recommend eating here if you’re in Hecho.

Pepo, the Chef, does excellent work, and we felt very welcome. The food was excellent too. We’re so glad we found this special place, and I’d highly recommend it 👌🤍👍

The restaurant was amazing, the best meal of our trip. We loved our two nights at Casa Blasquico, with welcoming hosts and a comfortable, spotlessly clean room. Highly recommended.

We made the extra drive to Hecho after hearing about the rustic Aragon cuisine at the Restaurante Gaby. The owner and his wife gave us a wonderfully hearty welcome, then served excellent local dishes: rabbit, duck, and a marvellous jambon salad. The food was made with love, the wine was lovely, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The food was outstanding, and I can’t say enough about how good it was or how great the atmosphere felt. We had huevos rotos, cardos con langostino, homemade meatballs, and churrasco. The host knew his stuff, and the waiters were lovely. I really couldn’t have asked for much more. Can’t recommend it enough.
