Vv Casa el Patio in Hermigua, La Gomera, was a real disappointment. The steps up are extremely high, so it isn't suitable for older people. Inside, the kitchen was dirty, the coffee maker was so black you could barely see it, and the furniture and bathroom were filthy. It felt like a hovel, with not even a chair to sit on, so you had to lie on the bed. They didn't offer any way to get the place cleaned better. I can't post the photos because they'd be embarrassed. Lamentable, I don't recommend it.

The bugs on the bed and the musty smell were the worst parts, and the whole place was very dirty. There was dust all over the room and the refrigerator was yellow and grimy. I was disappointed with the stairs to the house and the entrance, which was falling apart, too. The service was bad, especially from the receptionist. I work in customer service, and he left a lot to be desired. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend this house, at least not the Patio 4 location.

This studio was uninhabitable, and the service was basically nonexistent, just online check-in and keys by code. The bedroom, kitchen and bathroom had only one tiny window and a ridiculously small vent, so the heat was unbearable. We ended up leaving the front door open to get a draft and sleep, which was embarrassing. There were cobwebs and insects, the kitchenware wasn't clean, and there was no oven, microwave, frying pan or extractor fan. Cooking there was impossible, and the bathroom had no ventilation, making it feel unsanitary, quite apart from the question of legality. The furniture was dilapidated and the mattresses sagged from use.

The bugs inside all five pillowcases were the last straw. We packed up and went to reception to ask for a solution after finding a musty smell, lots of dust, a dirty fridge, cobwebs, and a small hole in the floor that creaked enough to feel unsafe. The wooden ceilings and floors were nice, but the entrance door was broken, rusty and out of place, with no outside security. The overgrown weeds and dirt made a poor first impression, and nobody was there to welcome us. It was our first time in La Gomera, and after climbing the stairs and seeing a sign for the patio, we nearly turned around. The apartments open onto a small shared patio, but the place felt entirely self-service and nobody seemed interested in getting to know guests. At reception, the man never apologized or admitted fault, and often raised his voice. He asked for photos to report to management, then offered to refurnish the room, which hadn't been done for weeks, or have us pay an extra €14 to move to another apartment in the hotel. He kept saying bugs were normal in rural Hermigua. We're from Gran Canaria and the countryside too, but bugs in pillowcases are unacceptable. It felt like excuses for poor service. When we asked for a complaint form, he acted like it was a new thing he'd never used, as if forms had just been invented. He didn't remind us about the options, and neither was actually available, though he did offer to move us to another room for the inconvenience. He was incredibly rude. We eventually filed the complaint and got our money back, then had to find somewhere else to sleep on our first day of vacation. I absolutely don't recommend this place. Apartamentos Los Telares needs to improve, especially its customer service.

The room felt a little unclean, and the sheets, mattress covers and blankets all left a lot to be desired. It's a rural house with a very pleasant, conservative restoration, but when the wind blows, plenty of drafts come through the windows and roof. I don't recommend it.
