Villa Aloe

We had a wonderful time exploring La Gomera. The house is comfortable and well equipped, with excellent internet, a good-sized TV and several terraces for lunch or sunbathing. It's a beautiful place, with breathtaking views of the mountains, the sea, Tenerife and Mount Teide. The building dates back to 1920 and has been renovated while keeping its original La Gomera tiles. It's close to the road, so there's some noise in the daytime, but no traffic at night.

The private parking and beautiful views made this a very pleasant place to stay. A few things could use attention, though: the front door doesn't close properly without the key, the fan in one room needs fixing, some coffee cups should be replaced, and one of the windows isn't in great shape.

It rained during our weekend in La Gomera with two children, but we still had a wonderful time. It was my first stay here and my partner's second. The cozy house reminded me of the old homes our grandparents had. There's a terrace with hammocks and a barbecue, and I'd love to come back in summer and enjoy it.

The villa was lovely and reasonably priced, and I highly recommend it for the whole family. The terrace was really comfortable, though our attempt at a barbecue didn't go too well. The terrace itself is beautiful. If you're in Agulo, go to the Abrante viewpoint for stunning views across Agulo and the beautiful sea around the Canary Islands. I do wish they'd add aloe vera, since the villa is named after it. Four stars ✨ because of the barbecue, though the villa is perfect. Summer would obviously be a better time to visit.
